Start-up carbon insurance specialist Kita and German net-zero tech firm Pyreg have announced a memorandum of understanding towards structuring a carbon insurance product in relation to the development of the “world’s largest” durable biochar carbon removal project pool.

As part of the upcoming Pyreg Climate Finance Solution, a leasing scheme with a target of deploying carbonisation systems for 150 biochar projects by 2040, Kita is working to introduce carbon insurance product to underpin the scheme.
