Pen Underwriting has promoted Ian Summerfield to head of cyber, with effect from 1 January 2024, as the firm looks to develop its internal leadership.

In the role, Summerfield, who succeeds Hamir Patel, will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the dedicated cyber practice after a handover period.
