UK signals intent to support war insurance scheme for Ukraine

The UK government is set today to sign a statement of intent on a European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) war risk insurance scheme for Ukraine.

The scheme is designed to help UK companies do business in Ukraine to support its reconstruction. The World Bank has estimated that the cost of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will top $400bn.
