HDI Global has appointed Kate Sutcliffe director of property underwriting, succeeding Jon Bartlett who is set to retire, this publication understands.

Sutcliffe will join from Sompo International, where she was head of UK property retail, and has previously worked for AIG, Allied World Assurance and Swiss Re.
