BMS has announced the appointment of former president and CEO of PartnerRe, Emmanuel Clarke, as group chairman, in a hire that coincides with the completion of an investment into the specialty and reinsurance broker by French private equity firm Eurazeo.

Starting today, Clarke is taking over from John Hastings-Bass, who after almost nine years as group chair will remain with BMS as chair of its UK and international operations.
