Liberty Specialty Markets’ head of power and renewables Tom Clifton has resigned to launch a renewable energy offering at Ardonagh-owned MGA Globe Underwriting, this publication can reveal.

It is understood Clifton will spearhead the launch into the new class of business at the MGA, as appetite among insurers to participate in the renewables sector remains high.
