CoreLogic: Florida homes worth $238bn at risk from Idalia

More than 800,000 homes in Florida, with a total reconstruction value of $238.4bn, could be affected by storm surge related to Hurricane Idalia, according to CoreLogic figures.

As reported this morning, Idalia is expected to make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in the Big Bend region of Florida before moving across the coastal areas of Georgia and the Carolinas later today and into Thursday.
