Hartwig Löger has been appointed CEO of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) following the resignation of Elisabeth Stadler, chairman of the managing board.

Löger has been a member of the VIG managing board and deputy CEO to Stadler since mid-September 2021. Prior to joining the company, Löger was the Minister of Finance for Austria from December 2017 to June 2019.
