CCR Re books 98.7% CoR for 2022 as manmade losses strike

CCR Re, the private-sector wing of French public reinsurer CCR, has reported a combined ratio of 98.7% for 2022, a 2.1-point deterioration on the previous year.

Cat losses of EUR35mn ($38mn) net of reinsurance were down 23% year on year, but this improvement was offset by an increase in manmade losses, the group said.
