AJ Gallagher-owned MGA Pen Underwriting is to establish an intellectual property (IP) underwriting practice, and has appointed Erik Alsegard as head of IP to begin building out the offering.

Alsegard brings 18 years’ experience in IP insurance and joins from Gallagher, where he helped to establish the broking specialism as IP director.
