S&P’s latest consultation on capital model update pushed to Q2

S&P Global Ratings has pushed the launch of its second consultation on proposed new criteria for its insurer ratings methodology to Q2, after withdrawing elements of its initial proposals last year following strong opposition from the industry.

The ratings agency said that it was in the process of finalising the second consultation, having completed its review of the “substantial” volume of feedback received on the first consultation.
