Aircraft lessors sue 17 insurers over damages related to Ukraine war

Aircraft lessors have filed a lawsuit against 17 carriers in the UK High Court, the latest of several recent suits against aviation insurers, listing Chubb as the main defendant.

Claimants include Merx Aviation Servicing, Rise Aviation 1 (Ireland), Eos Aviation 2 (Ireland) and Eos Aviation 7 (Ireland).

Insurance Insider understands that the lawsuit has been filed over damages related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
