CIAB shells out £276k on ex-PM Boris Johnson conference address

The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB) paid former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson £276,130 ($329,000) to appear on stage at its conference last month, an engagement requiring eight hours of work.

A disclosure in the House of Commons register of members’ interests showed Johnson was also provided with transport and accommodation for himself and two members of staff for the event.
