UK government bans services aiding transport of Russian crude oil

The UK government has laid down legislation preventing UK ships and services including insurance from facilitating the maritime transport of Russian crude oil from 5 December.

The law will prevent other countries from using the UK’s services to transport Russian oil unless it is bought at or below the oil price cap set by the Price Cap Coalition of the G7 and Australia.
