PRA and FCA launch discussion paper on AI regulation

The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have launched a discussion paper seeking answers to a range of questions on the regulation of AI, including where there are barriers to adoption.

The regulators have set out their thinking on the risks and benefits related to the use of AI in insurance and the wider financial services sector, as well as how existing regulation could be modified to boost its usage.
