‘No industry consensus on FCA, PRA accountability tools’: UK government

The UK government has claimed there is no consensus in the financial sector on what new accountability measures should be for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), in a response to an MPs’ report.

The Treasury Committee published the report this morning on the Future of Financial Services Regulation, which includes recommendations on several areas, including how the regulators should implement their new statutory objective to promote competitiveness and growth.
