Carbon becomes first SIAB to graduate to full Lloyd’s syndicate

Carbon Underwriting Limited has become the first syndicate-in-a-box (SIAB) to receive in-principle approval from Lloyd’s to become a full Lloyd’s syndicate, with effect on 1 January 2023.

The specialist MGU, which focuses on coverholder partnerships in the global P&C sector, began underwriting as a SIAB on 1 July 2020, with the support of third-party managing agent Asta.
