Lloyd’s considerable remedial and modernisation work, combined with strong market conditions, will be positive for the market’s future performance, according to AM Best.

Lloyd’s underwriting results over the past five years, although improving, have been below AM Best’s expectations for a Strong assessment, "demonstrated by an average combined ratio of 104.7%”
