War policies ‘natural’ avenue for lessors to claim against: Munich Re

Munich Re has said it expects aviation war policies to be the “natural policy” to claim against, according to an analyst note from Jefferies.

Speaking with analysts at Jefferies, Munich Re’s management said that, because all-risk policies have “clear exclusions for war”, lessors attempting to claim the repossession of their aircraft not related to war will be “difficult”.
