The UK Treasury has appointed Ashley Alder as chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Last month, Richard Lloyd was made interim chair of the FCA after the departure of Charles Randall.

Alder was previously the CEO of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where he was in post for a decade.
