The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has hiked its loss estimate for the floods that swept through south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales (NSW) in late February and early March to A$4.8bn ($3.3bn) in insured damages.
This is up A$500mn from the ICA’s prior estimate released almost a month ago, and in line with the A$4.9bn
