AUB’s binding purchase agreement with Tysers includes a number of protections to mitigate the impact on the buyer of any potential fines arising from the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and Department of Justice (DoJ) probes into the wholesaler.

In a disclosure accompanying the announcement of the £500mn ($616mn) acquisition, the Australian business revealed that the SFO and DoJ are investigating the London market broker over conduct in Ecuador between 2013 and 2017.
