Settlement reached in case involving Besso and ‘pirate of the Caribbean’

A settlement has been reached in a court case where a group of hotel companies had sought to reclaim up to $10mn in fees from Besso, due to the alleged conduct of its former broker who was nicknamed the ‘pirate of the Caribbean’.

The legal team for Bloody Bay Hotel Development had made the case that brokerage fees had been inflated by Charles O’Sullivan when he worked at Besso as a broker between 2004 and the end of 2010.
