Moscow declares all foreign leased aircraft will stay in Russia

Russian deputy prime minister Yury Borisov has announced that all foreign leased aircraft still in Russia after the end of leasing contracts will remain in the country, according to a report.

Reuters reported that Borisov has said all such aircraft have been entered into the Russian aircraft register.

Western lessors were forced to terminate leasing contracts with Russian airlines by the sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
