Floods push Australian carrier Youi deeper into aggregate reinsurance cover

Australian personal lines carrier Youi has eroded its aggregate reinsurance cover further as a result of the ongoing New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland flooding, according to its CEO.

In an interview with the Australian Financial Review, Youi CEO Hugo Schreuder said Youi had already received almost 5,000 claims related to the latest flooding, and had triggered its aggregate reinsurance programme before the incident.
