Fitch Ratings has downgraded six Russian insurance companies’ insurer financial strength (IFS) ratings and the debt rating of one Russian insurer.

The ratings agency previously downgraded the Russian sovereign ratings to C and Country Ceiling to B - on 8 March, reflecting the view a sovereign debt default is imminent.
