The eruption of major conflict in Ukraine has left the marine war market fearing major losses, as underwriters and brokers race to secure coverage for clients and assess the impact of ever-changing sanctions.

Following a rapid escalation in the conflict, a substantial number of vessels have been left stranded in Black Sea ports such as Odessa, which reports suggest could soon become major warzones.
