Lloyd’s firms’ exposures to Ukraine largely in political risk: Peel Hunt

Direct exposures to the Ukrainian conflict across Lloyd’s (re)insurers are likely to be concentrated on political risk, while a limited impact is expected on trade credit, marine cargo and aviation war, according to a note from analyst Peel Hunt.

The note stated that any direct exposure to Ukraine and Russia is expected to be manageable, adding that while cyber contracts have war exclusions, many incidents could be “grey areas,” particularly if targeted against commercial and financial entities.
