Modelling agency RMS estimates that windstorms Dudley and Eunice will cost the industry between EUR3bn ($3.4bn) and EUR4.5bn ($5.1bn) – with Eunice alone expected to contribute between EUR2.5bn ($2.8bn) to EUR3.5bn ($3.9bn) to the overall insured loss total.

This estimate would rank Eunice as the most damaging European windstorm event since Kyrill in 2007, the statement said.
