The Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) executive director for markets Sarah Pritchard has outlined the regulator’s plan to accelerate the authorisation process for new firms.

Over the next few months, the FCA plans to bring in about 200 new staff, with 95 joining the authorisations team to ensure processes are robust and support new, innovative firms.
