The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is facing surging discontent among staff after Unite secured the backing of Unite FCA employees for industrial action against the regulator’s divisive transformation plan.

A vote to back Unite’s proposal came after FCA CEO Nikhil Rathi upset staff with proposed changes to pay and work practices, which notably included performance-related pay and new salary ranges.
