UK government demands FCA probe into high-rise property insurance pricing

The UK government has written to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requesting an urgent review of escalating pricing for insurance on medium- and high-rise blocks of flats.

Michael Gove, Secretary of State for levelling up, housing and communities, acknowledged the issue stems from insurers’ fears of a repeat of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
