Perils pegs October Australian storm losses at A$1.03bn

Loss aggregator Perils has estimated that losses from severe storms that struck southern Australia in late October will amount to A$1.03bn ($740mn).

The estimate covers property and motor hull business and concerns the storms between 28 and 30 October, which brought damaging hail, wind and thunderstorms to southern Victoria and Tasmania, particularly Adelaide and Melbourne.
