Long-time Talanx CEO and chairman of the supervisory board Wolf-Dieter Baumgartl died last week at the age of 78, the company has announced.

Baumgartl served as chairman of the board of management of HDI from 1993 to 2006, and CEO of Talanx from 2000 to 2006.
