Entergy lays out plans to return power to New Orleans post-Ida

Energy provider Entergy has set out plans to bring back power to New Orleans following Hurricane Ida, with its preferred option being to restore critical transmission lines that connect the city to the electric grid.

Another option is to create an island to temporarily isolate New Orleans from the larger electric grid, operating on a limited basis to supply locally generated power to the city.
