Former RSA CEO Stephen Hester has taken up a chairman role at budget airline EasyJet following the sale of the insurance group to Intact Financial Corporation and Tryg.

His acceptance of a non-executive chairman role suggests that Hester – known for his turnaround efforts at Royal Bank of Scotland and RSA – is not looking to take up another executive role as some in the insurance sector...
