Southern France is the latest area in Europe to be hit by wildfires this summer as a result of record temperatures around the Mediterranean, with winemakers in the region now assessing the damage.

The blazes broke out the Var region, near the French Riviera, last week and were spread by strong winds, forcing thousands of people to evacuate.
