Storm Henri made landfall along the coast of Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon at tropical-storm strength as people are told to prepare for coastal surges and flooding.

Despite approaching the US coastline as a Category 1 hurricane, Henri weakened before landfall, with maximum sustained winds of around 60 mph.
