Ageas had said its total cost of customer claims related to July flooding in Belgium is EUR400mn ($469mn), as it announced its results for the first half of 2021, which put the group’s net result at EUR407mn for the period.
It said Belgian flooding would have an impact of EUR55mn on the group’s net results, after tax and net of reinsurance.
