California Wildfires 2020: River Fire

The Dixie Fire blazing in Northern California has destroyed 873 building structures and damaged 61 more, as it grew in the past 12 hours to cover more than 482,000 acres.

The latest update from California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire), at 9.15pm local time on 9 August, described a “constantly changing” situation, with evacuation warnings and mandatory evacuation orders in place across four counties.
