Allianz launches global commercial P&C division led by Townsend

Allianz has established a new global division for commercial property and casualty insurance in a move that “represents a significant, organic growth opportunity” for the group, it said.

Chris Townsend, an Allianz SE board member responsible for global insurance lines and Anglo markets, reinsurance, Middle East and Africa, will head up the new venture.
