No evidence of market abuse by Scor’s Kessler: French regulator

The French Financial Markets Authority has informed the French Financial Prosecution Office that it did not find evidence to support the accusations of market abuse against Scor CEO Denis Kessler that were made by rival insurer Covea.

The findings are a response to a complaint Covea filed against Scor’s chief executive alleging that a EUR195mn ($231mn) buyback Scor initiated in 2018 amounted to “market manipulation and the misuse of corporate assets”.
