ERS secures Lloyd's nod for expanded business plan with new classes

ERS has won approval from Lloyd's to revise its business plan for Syndicate 1856 and is set to commence underwriting a range of new lines including cargo/specie, marine/energy liability and property D&F.

The business, backed by Aquiline and Abry Partners, is in the midst of a strategic transformation as it builds out beyond motor into specialty lines insurance and reinsurance.
