Former Argo CUO Schmidt joins search firm Eliot

Executive search firm Eliot Partnership has hired former Argo Group CUO Axel Schmidt in a bid to grow its EMEA platform.

At Argo, Schmidt was also chairman of the group underwriting and group reinsurance committee. He left the company in April after spending almost seven years at the carrier, according to his LinkedIn profile.
