MS&AD’s overseas insurance falls to fiscal 2020/21 loss as cat bill more than doubles

MS&AD’s overseas insurance businesses reported a 3.2bn yen ($29.4mn) loss in the fiscal year ended March as catastrophe losses within the MS Amlin businesses more than doubled. Profit at parent MS&AD rose 1% to 144.4bn yen.

Overseas: MS&AD no longer splits out profit of the MS Amlin entities after a late 2019 restructuring did away with the holding company sitting on top of them.
