MS Amlin 2001 swings to 2020 loss on Covid-19 and cats

MS Amlin Syndicate 2001 fell to a loss of £178.1mn ($244.9mn) for 2020 following a £136.0mn net hit from Covid-19 and a string of natural catastrophe losses.

The 2020 result compares with a 2019 profit of £69.2mn, which was the syndicate’s first profitable year since 2015 following extensive remedial work.
