The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has cut its projected levy for the 2021/22 financial year by one-fifth to £833mn ($1.2bn) and shaved up to half off mandatory insurance-sector contributions after industry lobbying.
The scheme, which protects customers in the event of firm failures, cut its overall levy from a projected £1.04bn
