Covid-19 BI claims payouts near £600mn following ruling: FCA

Insurers have paid out just under £600mn ($828mn) in final and interim payments for Covid-19 BI coverage subject to the ruling in the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) test case on the issue.

The regulator said that initial payments of almost £248mn had been made in 2,898 unsettled cases, and £352mn had been paid in final settlements in a further 10,722 cases.
