$20bn Thai losses ‘could hit (re)insurer book value’

Total insured losses stemming from flood events in Thailand could cost the industry $15bn to $20bn, with around $9bn to $12bn flowing into international reinsurance and retrocessional markets, according to Espirito Santo research.
