Florida reinsurers could take in $300mn from new 2014 demand

The recently launched Florida Citizens clearinghouse platform, as well as its established depopulation programme, could help bring roughly $166mn of new reinsurance premium to the market in 2014, Macquarie analyst Amit Kumar calculated in a recent note.
